Assassin's Creed Introduces Surprising Attack on Titan Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected partnership that breaks conventional expectations, the game developer has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Uncovered
According to the official statement, "A strange meeting pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying transformations echo through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine sect.
The questline centers on "bizarre tests and a monstrous foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Transformations
The trailer features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview finishes with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Additional Material
Players who accomplish the quest will receive an special katana in addition to several artifacts concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
